A physical exam is an assessment of your health. During this visit, the provider will examine you and discuss your overall health. The following are all part of a physical exam:

• temperature, weight, blood pressure
• BMI (body mass index - a measure of body fat based on your height and weight)
• heart rate and respiratory rate
• pulse oximetry
• a head-to-toe body exam

The following procedures may be added based on your age, health, or sex:

• Chest x-ray
• EKG
• Pap smear and gynecological exam
• Prostate exam
• Bloodwork
