Why is there a pharmacy in your office?
We have a pharmacy in our office for patient convenience. Patients don't have to leave their appointment and drive to an outside pharmacy for their medication.
How is your medicine packaged?
Our medication is prepackaged by a pharmaceutical company. It is sealed and precounted at the factory.
Do I have to get my prescription filled at your pharmacy?
No. You can take your written prescription to any pharmacy that you choose.
Can you fill my prescriptions if they are covered by my insurance company?
Yes. We are able to electronically send your prescription information to your insurance company while you are in the office. We will get an instant response on how much they will pay.
Do you match prices with Wal-Mart or Publix?
No. We are unable to provide certain prescriptions for $4 since we are not part of a huge chain of stores. However, many of our medications are the same price as the big pharmacies and some of them are cheaper.
What prescription medicines do you keep in your pharmacy?
We keep most common medications on hand, including antibiotics and medications that patients take on a routine basis.
Can I return my prescription if I haven't opened it?
No. Georgia law prevents us from taking back a medication from a patient once they have left the office with the medication.
I get generic medicine and my pills are a different color from the ones I got last month. Why?
Many different manufacturers make generic medications. Each manufacturer may make the same medication in a different color or shape. The medication itself, however, is required by law to have the same dose of the active ingredient. Please call us if you ever have any questions about your medication.
