Release to Insurance

Your current medical insurance company is able, by law, to have access to your medical records. Papers that you sign when you purchase insurance allows this access. The following are some of the reasons that your insurance company may need your records:

  • To decide how to pay a claim
  • To see if you have a pre-existing condition that may or may not be covered
  • To insure that our office is providing the standard of care that the insurance company requires
  • To use to compile medical statistics
